This is Gohan after he had mastered the Z-Sword and this is Vegeta at the beginning of the Tournament Saga. Gohan is not using the Z-Sword. Who wins? |

Goku pondered on the possibility of Gohan being strong enough to beat Fat Boo. While he likely wasn't, the gap is implied to be somewhat close. Gohan one-shots. |

One shots? I'm surprised that you would say that. |

Gohan wins with ease. He's at least stronger than Goku in equal forms since he handled the Zeta Sword better than Goku did. |

Fat Boo: 100 Gohan post-sword: 85-90 Vegeta pre-Majin: 20-25 Vegeta has no chance. |

Gohan crushes. You have to understand that it was made very clear that even if SSj2 Goku, Vegeta and Gohan went at Fat Boo, they'd be destroyed because he was just as a whole other level. The fact that Kaioshin can say that Gohan may be able to defeat Fatty and Goku's first response wasn't to smack Kaioshin's dumb head off on the spot says far more for Gohan than it will ever say for Vegeta, be it Tournament, Majin or otherwise. |

I think that Gohan wins but I don't think this is any stomp. The Supreme Kai was impressed by how far Gohan had come. But Goku knew that Gohan still wouldn't stand a chance against Buu. |

Then why not say that outright instead of "I wonder"? |

Point 1, arm strength has already been proven that it has little to do with power, ki size and the control of it is more important. Point 2, the greatest power in the world is actually from training with old Kaioshin and not swinging around the z-sword which didn't start until the z-sword was broken. |

Is Goku wondering whether Gohan can beat Boo with superior arm strength? His Ki must've changed; Goku knows that punching Boo around isn't going to do anything, yet he still wonders if Gohan can beat Boo. The only efficient way to take down Boo would be using Ki attacks, so his Ki must've increased immensely. |

Yet Goku still wonders about Gohan's chances instead of immediately shooting him down.
This has no relevance to what's being discussed. Of course the ritual shot Gohan's power to an unprecedented level compared to before. That doesn't negate Gohan's gains with the sword, however. |

Yes it does, since Gohan was JUST swinging around the z-sword and East Kaioshin was being optimistic about using the z-sword as the weapon to finally defeat Buu. Old Kaioshin comes out of the sword and say nope, you call that training... so whatever east Kaioshin thought Gohan could achieve with training with the z-sword goes out of the window because Old Kaioshin comes into the picture and dismisses that as training. So therefore Old Kaioshin is the legend that the Kaioshins speak of.
So how much did Goku increase in strength when he was training with 40tons? |

And Goku doesn't entirely disagree with Kaioshin. He merely ponders on whether or not it'd be enough. Goku's not the type to troll someone about their chances to to win a fight, especially given the context of this situation. He told Piccolo straight up that he was trash to Cell. He just recently told Piccolo he didn't have a chance against Frost. He taunted Vegeta at how weak he was compared to himself. But here he was happily ready to send his son to certain death on a lie?
We have no idea considering no statements are given to even hint at any progression. With Gohan's case, there is. |

That Z Sword was incredibly heavy, after all…Perhaps this was what they meant by me obtaining the greatest power in the world.” = false statement, read what east Kaioshin says "That's it! That's definitely the greatest power in the world" = all wrong because it's old Kaioshins ability(by unlocking all of his hidden potential and way past it) that allows Gohan to beat Buu not the sword. So maybe something like all Gohan's potential = past Ssj3 level and Fat Buu and past his limits obviously allows Gohan to surpass Evil Buu. But Goku is the person that believes in his son. What was Goku going to say to his son, who was one of two of earth's last hope? The other being Gotenks who Goku left to defeat Buu. |

Post-Transformation Zarbon kicked Initial Namek Arc Vegeta's sh1t in with a chi gap that's less then x1.2 I'm thinking Z-Sword Gohan has at least over a x3 chi gap on Pre-Majin Vegeta, so unless Gohan's still as rusty as he was in the beginning of the arc, I would say that Gohan wins without too much difficulty. Gohan wins. |
